select Saturdays, 12 noon to 1:30pm
Manchester Arts Center

August
Introducing young actors to the theatre arts through games.

Stage directions, vocal projection, movement.

The goal of our first workshop is to create an environment

where the young actors feel comfortable taking the stage.
“Wherever you are, that is your beginning.”
August 26 - Around the Campfire

September
Actors assemble!

When we work together and support one another, great things happen.  Exploring sounds and movement, space on stage, and mirroring.
“When one person raises their hand, it is movement;

when twenty of us raise our hands, it is a performance.”
September 16 - Heroes
September 30 - Villains

October
This month we will be focusing on demonstrating and conveying emotions in performance through singing, speaking and movement.
“The way she said that word made all the difference.”
October 14 - Monologues
October 21 - Duets

November
This month we will be preparing for The Wizard of Oz Jr. auditions in January.  Auditions can be scary and intimidating, but less so if you know what to expect, are well-prepared, and comfortable with your environment.
“Your biggest fans are behind the director’s table.”
November 4 -  CANCELLED!
November 18 - Follow the Yellow Brick Road II

No preregistration necessary.

We hope to see you there!
